With the RB Series, the material is mounted on a stationary table that securely holds the material in place, avoiding any shifting problems. This means accurate and consistent cuts time after time.
A special rack and pinion head-speed control system allows quick head receding speed and adjustable receding distance to produce cycle times ranging from 3 to 4 seconds per cut. This system also ensures the receding head starts and stops smoothly at both ends, eliminating any shock or vibration.
Available as an option on the RB Series is the CE Compliance Type 4 Command Photocell, which features an operator detection and machine control function. The press can be run in the Auto 1 or Auto 2 operating mode, which means the photocell commands the press to start cutting after the operator reaches in to position material once or twice. This allows faster cycle times and saves operator movement, thereby reducing operator fatigue.
The RB Series extremely rigid construction with mechanical balancing keeps the head and bed parallel during the cutting stroke, ensuring clean, even cuts and reducing wear on dies and pads. The RB Series? two-speed cutting stroke provides maximum speed on the down stroke and accurate control of the cutting position to optimize production rates and extend pad and die life.
The RB can be set up and ready to run production in about 15 to 30 seconds, providing the flexibility to meet changing production schedules. A central self-lubricating system keeps maintenance to a minimum and helps maintain steady production output.
